Montezuma

Of the many beach towns in Costa Rica, Montezuma has attracted the strongest community of organic farmers, natural-foods producers, artists and generally alternative folks. Its rocky coastline, full of tide pools and waterfalls will enchant visitors.  The community, which used to be a camper’s heaven, has recently had to adjust to rising consumer demand and campgrounds are now often full. Still, there is an array of other accommodations available, where you can also find opportunities to go horse back riding, set off for a dip in the Playa Grande, or just sit and watch the pelicans dive.
