Bajos del Toro

Located in Alajuela, Bajos del Toro is relatively an unknown tourist location. Being in the valley between two great volcanoes, this area is usually quite damp and rainy. The wet climate though, makes for wonderful vegetation as well as beautiful waterfalls, streams and pools. From this region you can also get a close view of the yellow rocks of Poás Volcano.  Bajos del Toro offers great hikes and scenery for those wanting to explore a secluded place of Costa Rica.
