Braulio Carrillo National Park

The lush forest, spectacular green, abundance of tropical plants and waterfalls will overwhelm the senses. Anyone who visits this park will be astounded by the primitive feel of the virgin forest. The park offers hiking trails, but be sure to stay on the path and bring proper hiking shoes, as the paths might be muddy or slick. Part of Braulio Carrillo is also considered a cloud forest, so experience the clouds surrounding you, as the temperature drops!
As the closest and most accessible park to San José it is worth a visit, especially the Rainforest Aerial Tram where you can experience the forests from a new perspective!
